One of the biggest dating trends that are becoming more and more prevalent in the media and elsewhere is older women dating younger men. Whether its celebrities, political figures or even the new couple down the street, age is no longer a barrier or a prerequisite for a mature relationship. Why is it that men are finally beginning to see what older women can offer? What traits in older women do men find attractive and why?

For one thing, a lot of guys claim that older women just have a more self confidence and seem more exotic sexually. Men believe that older women are more passionate and experimental in the bedroom as well. This sis typically true as well. Older women tend o have “been there, done that” and are looking for a new experience. Despite their age, older women have a stronger libido than younger women. This is good for younger men as they have the youth and stamina to keep up with them!

Mature women, having seen and done ore, experienced more and have become independent, are ready to explore and shake things up a bit. For younger men this is a big change from dating a younger woman who typically let the men lead the relationship and activities. This is much different with an older woman. Older woman know what they want, know how to get it and need the young man to simply hang on for the ride. Younger women also typically love and want to be pampered and taken care of by men. Older women however seem to take over that role in this type of relationship. Younger men typically don’t seem to mind the lavish treatment as it’s quite a change from what they are used to.

Some younger women typically define themselves by their relationships, especially women without a strong career backbone in their lives. Older women however have established themselves financially, emotionally and don’t need a man to define who they are. They are simply more confident in their identity and typically have more stability in their lives. They also are typically dependent on no one but themselves.

Unfortunately there are men out there than like to prey on older women for their own sexual or financial agendas. Mature women are typically more secure in their finances. Unfortunately some men see that stability as their nest egg and prey on the loneliness of some older women to get at it. Heck in some cases the woman is completely aware of this and has an unspoken agreement with their younger lovers regarding financial and physical “favors”. Often times these are simply chance “partnerships” that typically don’t last very long, and usually end quite messily.
