Dealing With Cellulite
Cellulite causes unsightly ripples and dimples underneath the skin known as the ‘orange peel’ effect, and this common problem affects over 90% of women. It is very easy to get cellulite, as it only takes a very small amount of fat to cause cellulite, so you do not necessarily have to be overweight to get it, and it can be very difficult to get rid of it again. However there are a few steps you can take to lessen the appearance of cellulite and help prevent it from occurring in the future.
Keep Well Hydrated
Fluid retention can be a key trigger in the build up of cellulite, and this can be caused by poor bodily hydration so make sure you drink at least six to eight glasses of water every day, and this can be made up of a mixture of straight water, herbal teas, fruit juice and squash. Try to avoid drinking too much caffeine as this can actually cause dehydration.
Relationship Advice – Dealing With Infidelity
Infidelity in any relationship is a difficult issue, as this is one of the main problems facing couples which is serious enough to cause a break up. It is important when you start a new relationship that you make sure the other person understands how you feel about this issue, as you may have been hurt in the past by infidelity and know it is not something you are willing to forgive or move on from again.
Beauty Tips – Freckles
Freckles are very common, especially on paler skin and are simply areas of the skin which have darker concentrations
of the pigment melanin. Freckles can appear when the skin is exposed to strong sunlight and there are two basic types:
- Ephelides – the name comes from the Greek word for freckle ‘ephelis’ and is a light brown or red skin marking that appears in summer and tends to fade and disappear again in the winter.
- Lentigines – this name comes from the Latin word for lentil ‘lens’, and these are more permanent skin markings that do not disappear in winter. These types of freckles commonly appear in childhood and can fade slightly with age, but they can also develop in later life as well and they are referred to then as ‘liver spots’ or ‘age spots’.
How to Create Perfect Eyebrows
Everyone has different shaped eyebrows, but you can improve the natural shape by teasing out stray hairs and tidying up the general outline. You may have thick or thin brows, but the important thing is not to over pluck eyebrows or try and force the
m into an unnatural shape as this can end up looking very false, and if you have damaged the follicles through over plucking then your eyebrows they may never grow back to their natural shape again.
Equipment
All you will need to shape your eyebrows is a good pair of tweezers, an eyebrow brush and an eyebrow pencil. If you have very fair eyebrows but dark hair (or very dark eyebrows and light hair), you may want to dye your eyebrows just a few shades so that they match your overall hair colour and are also a bit more (or a bit less) prominent, and you can buy kits to do this at home or visit a salon to make sure you get the most natural look.
Cellulite Myths
Cellulite is a common condition that affects nearly all women in their lifetimes, and successfully combating this condition can be difficult as there are lots of myths surrounding the causes and treatment of cellulite.
Myth 1 – Only Overweight People Get Cellulite
If you are overweight you are more likely to get cellulite, but it can affect anyone of any size and is difficult to shift even with diet and exercise. Cellulite is a type of fat deposit that has become malformed, as it has burst through the first subcutaneous layer to become trapped in the fibrous, mesh like tissues of the lower dermis. This is what gives it the distinctive ‘orange peel’ appearance and also what makes it difficult to shift, and it is commonly found on the hips, thighs, bum, stomach and tops of the arms.
Make Up Lessons – How to Create Sexy, Smoky Eyes
One of the sexiest looks you can create for a night out is dark smoky eyes, and this is an effective way to both enlarge and emphasize your eyes. There are a few different ways you can create smoky eyes, from a darker, sexier look for a night out on the town to a lighter, more refined look for special events such as weddings, but the key thing you have to remember is to choose your colour palette carefully and blend tones well in order to emphasis rather than exaggerate the look.
Colour Palette
Smoky eyes are all about creating a sense of mystery and subtle glamour so opt for darker, earthier tones such as blacks, browns, greys, purples and greens. Red, blue, yellow and metallic tones can be much too bold for this look, creating drama instead of mystery and you should be thinking in terms of veiling the eyes in a blend of colours, rather than highlighting them with bright tones so that they stand out starkly.

You do not need to use lip liner every time you apply lipstick or lip gloss, but it is useful for creating a nice, even shape to lips and here are a few tips for applying:

How to Buy Flattering Shoes
There are thousands of different types of shoes now on the market from flip flops through to thigh high boots, and it is important that you think carefully about your body shape before you buy shoes, to make sure you are buying those styles that are flattering to your figure.
Flat Feet
It can be quite difficult to find flattering shoe wear for very flat feet with fallen arches, as you will need to place comfort first and style afterwards. Flat feet need a lot of additional support in order to prevent foot, leg, hip and back pain, especially for those people that spend a lot of time on their feet, so the first thing to look for is a specialist sculptured foot bed such as those provided by the Birkenstock range. This provides supportive contours for the foot, and helps you to balance your weight correctly whilst walking and standing, and fortunately due to the rise in demand for this more specialist footwear there are now many attractive designs and styles on offer from Birkenstock and other contoured footwear designers.
