Hyperthyroidism is the exact opposite. The body is being pumped with unsafe levels of thyroid hormones and results in a much higher metabolism and significant weight loss.

 Quit smoking. It should go without saying that smoking is dangerous to your health. It goes without saying that every woman prays for a healthy and happy baby. Unfortunately a lot of women do not take their own diet into consideration during pregnancy. Believe it or not, the foods you eat DO affect your baby.

It’s hard for pregnant women to eat healthy food. With constant cravings, (most of which being far from healthy), as well as beige inundated with fast and frozen convenience foods its no wonder that soon to be moms are struggling to eat the right foods. If you walk around any market today and the vast majority of all foods are processed in one way or another and are stock full over unnatural preservatives. The wholesome and nutritional foods may be hidden in the backs and sides of the shelf, and you may have a lot of trouble finding them!

The International Journal of Obesity has recently published a report that claims to genetically link childhood obesity to their parents eating habits. We all know that the environment will play a major factor in our child’s habits and tendencies, especially at a young age. However this new research seems to link weight loss to the type of eating habits shown by the child’s parents; regardless of how close attention you pay to your daughter’s weight.
