Baldness is simply a disease for guys right? WRONG! Pattern Baldness affects a lot of women although it might be as highly known. According to the latest studies, over 35% of all cases of baldness are from women. The effects of going bald on a woman can be catastrophic. Losing something that you’ve cared for and treasured since before you can remember can leave you feeling depressed and can really hurt your self-esteem. Here are a few ways that you can prevent hair loss for women.

1. Don’t dye your hair. Although coloring your hair is a time-honored tradition that practically every woman has done at least once in their lifetime, it can lead to serious damage to your hair and eventually to premature balding.
2. Alcohol. Although it’s perfectly fine to have the occasional drink, or even get nicely plastered at the Christmas party, don’t make it a habit. Excessive drinking over a prolonged period of time has been shown to contribute to female balding.

The sporty look is expressed by flowing lines colors and forms, providing ease of active movement. Clothes with lots of details and accessories are usually left out in lieu of functionality and comfort. The sporty look is comfortable and stress free. Accessories are usually a no-no in this look. Go with comfortable shoes – sneakers, sandals. Make up shades need to be natural colors…when was the last time you saw a tennis player with bright red lipstick?! Hair styles are typically shorter and if left long are typically left in a ponytail with a basic tie. Floral perfumes are good for the sporty look as long as they are subtle and aren’t too overpowering

Small, petite girls should avoid large blocky patterns, fabrics and prints. Instead go for soft fabrics and fitted shapes, and subtle accents of color and flare.

Women with large busts should try to stick with wear eye-catching skirts and pants (the as short as you are comfortable with) …anything with a strong print to draw some of the attention away from your tops half. Try to avoid any large prints or bold colors for tops as they will simply accent the area you are trying to make more subtle.

Tall women should try to avoid tight outfits. Unfortunately tall women can look very disproportional if they wear something too short or too long. They have to balance a happy medium with tops and skirts. Remember to wear blouses over the pant line so that it draws attention away from the legs and makes the top look more proportionate with the rest of the body.
