These days there are many financial demands on households and so most people work, regardless of the age, sex or circumstance, and having children does not necessarily mean that one parent will stay at home to cover child care.

When a woman gets to a certain age, dating can be very frustrating to say the least. Although you are never too old to look for love, the older you get, it seems like the more problems arise when getting back into the dating market. There’s a big compatibility factor that drives men to look towards partners relative to their own age. A woman in her late 50’s might try dating several times without finding anyone special. Sadly that same woman may think she’s too old to start dating and might write off men for the rest of her life. This is something that we need to change as again, you are never too old to find love.

Most women typically only buy 3-4 gifts a year for their spouses or boyfriends – birthday, Christmas, anniversary and valentines. Today’s piece was inspired by one of the younger girls in my writing class. She came in to class today in a pretty ticked off mood. Me, being the angel that I am (yeah right) decide to pay her a compliment to hopefully lift her day.  I told her that her outfit looked great and asked where she got it. The girl looked at me like I had just asked to borrow her deodorant. After a brief awkward silence the girl muttered a curt “thanks” and walked away without another word.  So Ms. “I’m too good to acknowledge your compliments” this piece is for you.

Although I’m sure today’s instance was a little out of the norm and that most women would usually at least pretend to share a courtesy when complimented there are an alarmingly large amount of younger girls that simply have no sense of courtesy or respect when they are trapped in their own little worlds.

No matter how many friends and family say they will babysit at any time, there will be that one night where no matter how many people you call you just can’t find a sitter. How do you handle times like this? Do you often times cancel your plans just because you don’t have a babysitter on hand? Is there anything you can do if you’re in a desperate situation and NEED a babysitter badly?

Some tech-savvy parents have looked into social networking sites like MySpace and Face book to find a sitter in an emergency and some parents have even found great sitters on classified ad boards like Craigslist. The internet has created a very efficient and fast way to get targeted solutions to your problems very quickly. However, there are some very important things to keep in mind if you decide to use the internet to find a sitter.

Many women in the US, on their path towards motherhood, have forgotten about continuing their education or think they are simply not in a position to continue with it. Some women have children at a younger age and some women have gotten married and have either dropped out of college or never started. Going back to school is something that a lot of women talk about although time, money, and even a little apprehension of actually going back to a classroom are getting in the way of a lot them.  

Although there are countless resources for grants, scholarships and other types of assistance on the internet, practically all of them cater to a very specific type of student.
